Goals of the terrorist group, picture relating to the group
# teach the truth about the creation and destruction of the universe
# each individual member was to attain buddhahood through initiation by the master himself.
# "Lotus Village Plan," was for small communes to be self-sufficient and able to rebuild civilization
# take over Japan and then the world
# individuals to rid themselves completely of bad karma.

Motivations of the terrorist group:
They believed that by joining the Aum Shirinkyo, they would be able to survive a prophesied World War III in which humanity would end and only the elite few who joined Aum Shirinkyo would survive. They also believed that the leader of this terrorist group, would be their "savior" and lead them through what they believed to be the "end times". These motivations were mostly fueled by misinterpreted religious views.
Asahara’s other visions were a series of apocalyptic revelations that convinced him he would lead God’s army to victory
Based on his authority of total enlightenment, his apocalyptic visions and a lifelong desire for power, Asahara began an effort to increase cult membership. Aum Shinrikyo grew into a cult of tens of thousands who believed Asahara would show them the key to happiness. He recruited members from Japanese society by emphasizing the positive aspects of his spiritual message.

Perspective of the Group
The group mainly delivers its purpose by referencing to religious texts and beliefs, like Christianity and Buddhism. They believe that there actions are actions and doings are of ethical values and that they are doing their religious leaders a good deed or favor. Therefore, their perspective is that they are doing something good for their religion. However, in our opinion, we felt that it is a cult group that is meant to cause devastating impact to the affected country and that they have taken a wrong understanding towards religion. We also find this group extremely influential and powerful in the sense where they
